MENTOR VISITS

Under the mentorship of Ryan Zarfoss, Emily has had the unique opportunity to explore the realm of federal-level crime while also developing her professionalism within the field of investigation. From visits to the Dallas-Fort Worth Airport to speaking with other agents at field offices, Emily has acquired knowledge that is vital to furthering the passion she holds for her topic of study by following in her mentor's footsteps.

Starting in the second semester, Emily began a second mentorship with Dr. Deborah Miscoll, a consulting psychologist and managing director with Deloitte. With her background in forensic psychology and expertise with the Department of Justice's Federal Bureau of Prisons, she provides a unique perspective to the overall learning experience. As well, Dr. Miscoll's work with threat assessment has brought valuable intellect and inspiration to Emily's ISM journey.
